Muireann Quigley brings an interdisciplinary background in medicine, ethics, and law to her research on legal and philosophical challenges posed by implanted and attached medical devices. Her work on open-source diabetes technologies—published across medical, legal, and sociology journals—directly informs the Diabetes Data Rights Charter.
This research has been supported by funding from Research England, ESRC and AHRC Impact Acceleration Awards, and the University of Birmingham's Institutional Impact Fund and the European Union.
